LASER PLYWOOD

Plywood for laser cutting – produced from birch timber, internal, based on urea and formaldehyde resins.

Produced from hardwood (100% birch), interior  on the basis of urea-formaldehyde  or exterior with white glue line on the basis of melamine-urea-formaldehyde resins.

The quality classes of these types of plywood are B/BB and BB/BB, and the internal layers are flawless.

Plywood is composed of 1 mm thick veneers by cross bonding. Face veneers can be both long grain and cross grain.

The inside veneers are selected to minimize wholes and big knots. Plywood is bonded with a MR glues that does not burn in the flame of laser.

It is available in two types: both with, and without, double-sided transparent melamine foil.
These types of plywood hold E1 sanitary attestation.

Plywood is perfectly made for being cut and engraved with a laser system

Smooth und precise cutting edges

The surfaces remain crack-free and do not show signs of bruise by clamping

High repeatability and accuracy of fit for example for intarsias

Narrow cutting edges in the area of 1/10 mm, therefore almost no thermical influence

Laser cutting of extremely fine contours and practically radius-free inner contours

Engraving of reliefs

For this purpose we have special designed plywood

Further Processing

Laser plywood can be lacquered, cut to size or drilled according to customers wish.

Lacquering

Protective lacquering – two layers of primer are applied over the surface by roller coating method, each layer is about 15 – 20 g/m².

The final surface is transparent and slightly rough.

Elevated quality layer – two layers of primer are applied over the surface by roller coating method, each layer is about 15-20 g/m², then finish layer of lacquer 80-100 g/m².

Plywood is sanded after priming that gives absolutely smooth and shining surface of the final product. Edges of the panel can be also sealed with lacquer.

Advantage

Uniform structure, non-flammable glue, environmentally friendly, durable, easy workable.

Laser plywood transparent offers the following advantages

smooth, semi gloss surface

hygienic and easy to clean

taint and odour free surface

low water permeability

Laser plywood transparent is smooth faced birch plywood specially glued for laser cutting. The board is coated on both sides with a hard wearing transparent melamine film, which protects effectively the surface from moisture pick up and also makes it easy to keep the die board clean.

Laser plywood transparent is an ideal material for demanding dies. Strong and homogeneous birch cuts well with a laser, is accurate and holds the knives firmly in place. The thin veneer multilayer construction ensures that the board stays flat when properly handled and stored.

Laser plywood boards are best suited for

die boards, stripping and blanking tools, laser cutting, printing blocks

Application

plotter production ,  poligraphy ,  furniture ,  toys

Laser plywood  is also available without the melamine film.
